People v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of first-degree murder case. Judge granted motion to dismiss on double-jeopardy grounds.


United States v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of federal drug charge. Client had been facing a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 10 years.


United States v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of federal drug charge. Client had been facing a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 5 years.


People v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of felony rape case. Judge granted motion to dismiss on grounds my client’s former attorney had a conflict of interest. 


People v. Individual: Obtained diversion for client charged with four felony counts of assault with a firearm. After the trial court denied two of our motions for diversion, we successfully petitioned the Court of Appeal to direct the trial court to grant us a new hearing on the diversion issue. After we won in the Court of Appeal, the trial court granted diversion. 


People v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of felony charge of firearm possession. Officer testified that he saw my client throw a firearm from a car window. After I cross-examined the officer, the judge found the officer not credible and dismissed the case for lack of evidence. 


People v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of felony charge of firearm possession when court granted my motion to suppress. Judge agreed with my argument that police found the firearm through an illegal search that violated my client’s rights under the Fourth Amendment. 


People v. Individual: Obtained dismissal of felony domestic-violence charge for lack of evidence. My client’s ex-girlfriend testified against my client, but during my cross-examination she admitted that she lied in her testimony, and the court dismissed the case. 


People v. Individual: Obtained reduction from four felony counts with a potential 11-year sentence to four misdemeanors and immediate release. I filed motion arguing that the felony charges were unlawful and had to be charged as misdemeanors only. After taking time to research my arguments, the prosecution amended the charges to misdemeanors and my client was released from custody. 


People v. Individual: Acquitted at jury trial on charge of residential burglary.


People v. Individual: Acquitted at jury trial on charge of indecent exposure, which would have required lifetime registration as a sex offender.


People v. Individual: After DUI jury trial ended in a hung jury split 7-5 in favor of “not guilty,” resolved case for a non-driving offense with no jail time and no penalties on client’s license.


People v. Individual: Acquitted at jury trial on charge of hit and run driving.


People v. Individual: Acquitted at jury trial on theft offense.
