Evan cares deeply about his clients and his work as a criminal defense lawyer. He has spent his entire career representing people accused of crimes and protecting his clients. He gives every client personal attention and the highest quality legal representation.

He has handled nearly every kind of criminal case from low-level misdemeanors to serious sex offenses, homicides, drug crimes, violent crimes, and white-collar offenses. He has represented doctors and attorneys, athletes and professionals, business owners and law enforcement, and just about anyone else who was facing criminal charges and needed someone to fight for them.

Evan’s broad range of skills makes him an effective advocate throughout a criminal case. He thoroughly researches charges and defenses and he has gained a reputation for writing creative and successful pretrial motions. Many times, his motions have resulted in the exclusion of evidence or the complete dismissal of a case. He also excels in the courtroom during motions hearings, preliminary hearings, and jury trials. He has obtained acquittals at trials for first-degree burglary, theft, indecent exposure, hit and run, driving under the influence, and driving without a license.

Evan is also one of the few trial attorneys who handles appeals and post-conviction cases, and he has argued dozens of times before state and federal appellate courts. If things went wrong at trial, Evan can thoroughly review the case and present your strongest arguments to prevail on appeal. Among other successful results, Evan has obtained a full reversal of sex-crime convictions after a jury trial and a reversal of a first-degree murder conviction after an unlawful guilty plea.

Evan knows his clients need more than just an effective defense in court. They also need advice and guidance on what to expect, what their options are, and how to handle the stress that comes with facing criminal charges or criminal investigations. They also need an honest assessment of their situation, not unrealistic promises about how the case will resolve. Evan has helped hundreds of clients through these difficult circumstances and gives every client personal attention and advice.
